Finnish forest lakes, rocky terrain and quiet paths: Nuuksio brings the outdoors close to the Helsinki metropolitan area.

Woodland and water

Forests, lakes and rocky ground shape Nuuksio National Park. Views of the water appear between the trees. Narrow paths, lakeside spots and higher rocks bring variety even to a shorter circuit.

Choose a suitable walk

Marked trails help with orientation. Distance, daylight and ground conditions determine which circuit suits the day. Roots and rock can be slippery after rain; snow and ice change the conditions in winter.

First-hand information

Finland’s national park authority, Metsähallitus, provides information on trails, access and current conditions. Use fireplaces and rest areas in line with the rules, and take away everything that does not belong in nature.
