The Wiehengebirge is another region where I go hiking. It adds woodland paths, ridge routes and viewpoints to my personal map of places to explore.
Different ways into the region
The regional tourism organisation Westfälische Sieben presents walks around Preußisch Oldendorf, Lübbecke, Hüllhorst and Hille. Its information includes ideas for shorter walks as well as longer day hikes.
A day outdoors is shaped by the route as much as the destination. The change between woodland and open views can guide the choice of a walk, alongside the available time and distance.
